The General Directorate of Meteorology announced that 2024 was the hottest year in the last 53 years. While the average temperature across Turkey was recorded as 15.6 degrees, precipitation decreased by 6.3 percent compared to normal. The most precipitation was measured in Black Sea province of Rize and the least in Thrace region province of Edirne.
