Çeşme (prominent resort district of İzmir province) Touristic Hoteliers Association (ÇESTOB) President Yakup Demir stated that agriculture and local agricultural products are as important as tourism and said, “We absolutely need to bring agriculture and tourism together. Çeşme’s agricultural products are very special and very valuable. Agriculture in Çeşme is as important as tourism.”
Pointing out that they went to different parts of Çeşme to promote the values and beauties of the district, Çeşme Touristic Hoteliers Association (ÇESTOB) President Yakup Demir held contacts in the Ovacık region.
“When we think of Ovacık, we think of agriculture. When we look at the Ovacık plain, we see fields of artichokes; we also see that there is a large amount of Çeşme lemon on the land we are in. Lemon is used in many areas. It gained great importance especially during the pandemic we live in,” he noted.
