The cereals, pulses and oilseeds sector is targeting a spike in exports in the second half of 2026…

With a wide range of products—from baked goods to cereals, vegetable oils to cat and dog food, pulses to confectionery and spices to oilseeds—the Aegean Exporters’ Associations achieved a 23 percent and exports totalling 1,185 million dollars, the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association – which set a record for export growth – recorded exports of 554 million dollars in the first half of 2026.
Muhammet Öztürk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses and Oilseeds Exporters’ Association and Coordinating Chairman of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations, stated that they expect exports to pick up again in the second half of the year.
Emphasising that they remain confident of achieving the export target of 1.4 billion dollars set at the start of 2026, Öztürk said, “In the January–June period of 2026, vegetable oils accounted for the largest share of our exports at 245 million dollars. The group comprising oilseed meal, animal feed and pet food, which ranked second, reached an export value of 94 million dollars. The 29 percent increase in value and 77 percent increase in volume recorded for this product group constituted the most notable performance of the first half of the year.”
