According to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly, last year’s pomegranate exports surged by 4.22 percent compared to the previous year. In 2025, 162 million 559 thousand dollars worth of pomegranates were sold abroad from across the country. Germany received the most pomegranates, with 34.1 million dollars worth.

Iraq ranked second with 26.2 million dollars, and Russia ranked third with 22 million dollars.
37.71 percent of the country’s pomegranate exports were carried out by companies affiliated with the Western Mediterranean Exporters’ Association (BAİB).
Antalya, Isparta and Burdur provinces, which are among the leading producers and exporters of pomegranates within BAİB, exported 61.3 million dollars worth of pomegranates in 2025, an increase of 7.18 percent compared to the previous year.

BAİB Chairman Ümit Mirza Çavuşoğlu told an Anatolian Agency (AA) correspondent that they had experienced a difficult year in fruit exports due to agricultural frost.
Noting that while exports of many fruits declined, pomegranate exports increased due to production, Çavuşoğlu said, “Last year, pomegranates brought a smile to our faces in fruit exports. We managed to achieve a spike in exports, which is gratifying for us. We had exports surpassing 60 million dollars.”
