Sarayköy Geothermally Heated Greenhouse Organised Agricultural Zone, the first geothermal-based agricultural zone in Türkiye, draws attention with both modern agricultural techniques and environmentally friendly production approach.
Established on a total area of 729 decares, this zone has 12 greenhouse parcels and 2 industrial parcels. Currently, tomato production is carried out in 7 greenhouse parcels.
200 MILLION TL SUPPORT FROM THE MINISTRY…
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated that Sarayköy Geothermally Heated Greenhouse Organised Agricultural Zone has started its operations with an infrastructure support of 200 million TL. Yumaklı also emphasised that this region has become a leading base in the production of high quality fresh fruits and vegetables by applying modern agricultural methods.
Pointing out that the region is designed with the aim of uninterrupted production and high efficiency, Yumaklı said, “Zero waste principle is adopted as well as environmentally friendly production.”

The infrastructure of Denizli Sarayköy Geothermally Heated Greenhouse Organised Agriculture Zone was completed with the partnership of Denizli Governorship, Commodity Exchange and Chamber of Commerce.
While production has already started in 7 greenhouse parcels, other parcels have been allocated to investors and greenhouse installation works continue in these areas.
When the region starts to operate at full capacity, it is planned to produce 15 thousand tonnes of vegetables and fruits per year. In addition, this project, which will play an important role in terms of employment, will provide employment opportunities for a total of 1000 people, 75 percent of whom will be women.
