The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that TÜKAS will boost the effective use of agricultural resources and increase sustainability. Registration procedures will be completed by 31 March.

Mehmet Kilci, Deputy Director General of Agricultural Reform of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, said that thanks to the Agricultural Production Registration System (TÜKAS), the effective use of agricultural resources throughout the country will be ensured and the sustainability of agricultural activities will be surged.
“Thus, it will be possible to fully utilise Türkiye’s agricultural production potential,” Kilci said.
‘TÜKAS Ex-officio Registration Procedures Information Meeting’ was organised at Samsun Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Speaking at the meeting, Mehmet Kilci, Deputy Director General of Agricultural Reform of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, explained that TÜKAS was developed as a system that aims to manage the agricultural sector in a more efficient, sustainable and planned manner. “This system aims to facilitate the recording of agricultural activities and provide solutions that meet the needs of all stakeholders in the sector. Thanks to TÜKAS, the effective use of agricultural resources across the country will be ensured and the sustainability of agricultural activities will be increased,” Kilci added.

On the other hand, Samsun Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Sağlam emphasised the importance of TÜKAS and concluded, “TÜKAS is a database that contains all information on agricultural enterprises engaged in crop production, livestock or aquaculture production, regardless of their legal status and regardless of land size. This system has been created in order to fully determine agricultural activity.”
