Turkish exporters are preparing for China…

Turkish exporters who want to grow in the Chinese market rolled up their sleeves…

The China International Import Fair, which will be held on November 5-10, 2023 in Shanghai, China, the world’s second largest economy, offers great opportunities to companies that want to get a larger share from China’s annual import of 2.7 trillion dollars.

Jak Eskinazi

Reminding that China is the second most importing country in the world after the USA, Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB) Coordinator Chairman Jak Eskinazi invited Turkish exporters who want to grow in the Chinese market to the China International Import Fair, where physical participation will be held for the first time after the pandemic.

“While we import more than 41 billion dollars from China, our exports cannot exceed 3 billion dollars. In order to make this situation more balanced, we have been working on increasing the market shares of these products since 2019 by focusing on products that have the potential to enhance exports to China,” he said.

Stating that as EIB, they will organize the national participation of the China International Import Fair for the 4th time, he added, “So far, we have received applications from 10 companies, mainly from the agricultural sectors. We continue to work to expand participation from industry sectors. We contacted our high-tech companies and brands that represent our country in many areas around the world. We want more intense demand from our Turkish companies to participate in the fair.”

“On July 12, an introductory meeting will be held at the Istanbul Shangri-La Hotel regarding the China International Import Fair by the China Import Bureau. At this meeting, we will sign the cooperation protocol as EIB,” he concluded…
