In Türkiye, solar power generation rose by 10.2 percent in July compared with the previous month, reaching an all-time high of 5.4 terawatt-hours.

According to information compiled by an Anatolian Agency (AA) correspondent from data provided by the Energy Markets Operating Company (EPİAŞ), solar power generation in July stood at 5.4 terawatt-hours. This surpassed the previous record of 4.9 terawatt-hours set in June.
Solar power’s share of electricity generation also reached 15.6 percent, marking the highest level ever recorded for the month of July. With this share, solar power once again ranked ahead of natural gas and domestic coal-fired power stations in July, as it has done for the past three months.
In July, the share of wind power in electricity generation stood at 12 percent, whilst the combined share of solar and wind reached 27.6 percent.

Hydropower generation rose by 60 percent compared with the same month last year, reaching 9 terawatt-hours. This production volume marked the highest ever recorded for hydroelectric power in July. Hydroelectric power accounted for 26.3 percent of electricity generation.
