Edremit Chamber of Commerce (ETO) Board Member Savaş Can attended the olive oil sensory analysis training organised by the Tunisian National Olive Oil Office (ONH) in cooperation with the International Olive Council (IOC) and the International Centre for Advanced Agricultural Research in the Mediterranean (CIHEAM) in Zaragoza.

In the training programme on ‘Organoleptic Evaluation of Extra Virgin Olive Oil’ held in Tunisia, technical information for the olive oil sector was shared. Savaş Can, representing Türkiye, stated that the country’s olive and olive oil sector came to the agenda in the international platform during the training.
In his statement, Can said, “Turkish olive and olive oil, which has an important place in the world, was discussed in this organisation where Arab countries participated intensively. The olive oil samples I took from Edremit attracted great interest from international tasters. In addition, as the only representative from Türkiye participating in this organisation, I was proud to represent my country in the best way.”
After the completion of the training programme, Ahmet Çetin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Edremit Chamber of Commerce, presented a certificate of appreciation to Savaş Can for successfully representing Türkiye and Edremit in the international platform.
