Akhisar Bridge at the Türkiye-Egypt Forum…
Sadık Özkasap, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Manisa Commodity Exchange, Alper Alhat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Akhisar Commodity Exchange and Sami Karaoğlan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Akhisar District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended the Türkiye-Egypt Chamber and Commodity Exchange Cooperation Forum held in Cairo prior to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s official visit to Egypt, and signed cooperation agreements.

At the forum, Sadık Özkasap, Alper Alhat and Sami Karaoğlan shared Akhisar’s agricultural production capacity, potential for value-added products (especially olives and olive oil) and industrial infrastructure with Egyptian businesspeople. Representatives from the Egyptian business community extended an open invitation to Akhisar to assess investment and trade opportunities firsthand.

Sami Karaoğlan, Chairman of the Akhisar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted the strategic importance of the forum for the Akhisar business community. “This forum shows that Akhisar is present on international platforms not only with its production power but also with its trade and industry vision. Direct contact with the Egyptian business community means new markets and new partnerships for our members. We will continue this process with determination so that Akhisar companies can open up more strongly to foreign markets,” he said.

Sadık Özkasap, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Manisa Commodity Exchange, stated that they offer a structure ready for international collaborations. Pointing out that the renewed economic and trade relations between Türkiye and Egypt hold significant opportunities for local production centres, Özkasap noted, “With our agricultural production capacity and developing industrial infrastructure, we are a natural partner in this process. The contacts established in Cairo created a foundation that could translate into concrete trade and investment steps.”
“As the business communities of Manisa and Akhisar, we are ready for sustainable and long-term collaborations based on mutual trust,” he added.
