ÖR-KOOP BRINGS IN PRODUCERS AND LOCAL ECONOMY…

The Agricultural Development Cooperative of Nazilli (ÖR-KOOP), which was established by 7 producers in 1979 to develop the local farmers in Nazilli district of Aydın province, continues to grow with the goal of branding. ÖR-KOOP Chairman Ünal Önal said that they are one of the largest co-ops with 2 thousand 588 stakeholders in Turkey.

ÖR-KOOP collects 325 tonnes of milk daily in average from its producers and 20 tonnes of which it collects, process in its modern facilities, such as cheese, yoghurt, ayran and butter. The remaining 305 tonnes of milk is sold to leading dairy companies, thus they make a contribution to farmers and regional economy

From Aydın province to Turkey…

Önal said, “We put our products on the market through our Aydın and Denizli regional dealers. ÖR-KOOP is the opening window of Aydın province to whole Turkey in dairy business. We process our producers’ milk under hygienic conditions and put on the market.”

“ÖR-KOOP, collects milk from 206 villages in Nazilli and the surrounding districts, also started to market the feed manufactured in its industrial plant set up in 2017,” Önal noted.

“ÖR-KOOP also supports its producer stakeholders with machinery, equipment, feed-seed supply and veterinary services. On the other hand our cold storage depo project cost 4 million 500 TL. We are grateful to our ministry for providing a support of 1 million liras,” Önal added…
