Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB), which has increased its exports by 40 percent since 2018, aims to break a new record by exceeding 1 billion 200 million dollars in 2021.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, Murat Ödül said that they employed an agricultural engineer to visit the production areas and keep in constant contact with the producers and a public relations specialist to visit active members in 2018.
Murat Ödül said, “This team, which we call the Member Relations Team, has visited over 800 of our members at regular intervals since 2018. From time to time, we, as the Board of Directors, accompanied these visits. Our friends, regardless of distance, visited companies in İzmir, Manisa, Aydın, Muğla, Afyon, Balıkesir and Denizli. We evaluated the problems coming from the members at our monthly board meetings and took initiatives. In some export regions outside of İzmir, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry inspectors were assigned from İzmir, this caused a great loss of time for exporters. We talked to our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Currently, inspectors in almost every district have started to come to our companies in their own district for inspection and their problems have been solved.”
“We sent ‘Welcome Certificates’ to our new member companies as soon as they became members and we introduced ourselves immediately. This system has also been an exemplary implementation for our associations in other sectors in Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) and now they have started to give more weight to member visits,” Murat Ödül added.
