Öztürk: “We are the strongest food export sector.”
Muhammet Öztürk, Chair of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds, and Products Exporters’ Association, stated that the cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector is the strongest food export sector, with exports of 9.047 billion dollars between January and September 2025. He stated that they account for 47 percent of Türkiye’s food exports.

Highlighting that the Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds, and Products Sector continues to make strategic contributions to the country’s economy with its production diversity, export capacity and reliable supplier position in global markets, he said, “As the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds, and Products Exporters’ Association, we ramped up our exports by 14 percent from 747 million to 852 million dollars in the first nine months of 2025. Our vegetable oil exports surged by 15 percent to 452 million dollars and maintained their leadership position.”
“Chocolate and confectionery products surged by 18 percent, from 67 million to 80 million dollars. Cereal exports increased by 34 percent, from 36 million to 48 million dollars. Our top five export destinations are Algeria, Libya, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia,” he added…
