The China International Import Expo (CIIE), the world’s largest import fair and one of China’s most prestigious exhibitions, once again served as a platform for significant business connections in 2025.

The Turkish National Participation organisation, led by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB), took place from 5 to 10 November 2025, with 18 companies from Türkiye participating in the fair. Commercial agreements worth 83.5 billion dollars were signed at CIIE.
Muhammet Öztürk, Chair of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters Association, announced that exports of cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products from Türkiye to China rose by 24 per cent from 58 million dollars to 72 million dollars in the January-October period of 2025.
Öztürk stated that they are the leading sector in food exports to China…
“We can expect exports to China to reach 100 million dollars in the short term and 200 million dollars in the medium term,” said Öztürk, adding, “At the China Import Expo, we showcased Türkiye’s gastronomic riches to the Chinese people with tasting events featuring dried fruits, olive oil, olives, seafood and our grain and legume products.”
Emphasising that interest in Turkish confectionery products in the Chinese market is increasing every year, Öztürk highlighted, “Our companies participating in this year’s fair were extremely pleased with the high demand for their products. We expect our confectionery exports to grow with this positive momentum in the coming period.”
