Press release…
Türkiye is signing a successful export season in seedless raisins, where it is the world leader in production and exports.

Produced by 55 thousand producers in the triangle of Manisa, Denizli and Izmir, seedless raisin exports soared by 13 percent in the first half of the 2024/25 season, from 274 million dollars to 310 million dollars.
Stating that they entered the 2024/25 season with a target of 176 thousand tonnes of seedless raisin exports, Mehmet Ali Işık, Chair of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, noted that they achieved 55 percent of their target in the first half of the season.
Emphasising that climate change caused losses in the seedless raisin yield, Işık said, “The 2024/25 yield, which was predicted to be 236 thousand tonnes, remained below this figure.

“The fall in yield caused our exports to decrease from 129 thousand 416 tonnes to 87 thousand 489 tonnes with a 32 percent decrease in quantity. At the World Conference of Seedless Raisin Producing Countries, it was predicted that 598 thousand tonnes of seedless raisins would be exported worldwide in the 2024/25 season,” Işık added.
Işık, who informed that the decrease in seedless raisin yield pulled the export prices up, continued his words as follows, “While our average export price of seedless raisins was 2 thousand 120 dollars last season, this year it climbed to 3 thousand 550 dollars with an increase of 67 percent in dollar terms. Our producers received more than enough for their products, which they produced with quality and food safety.”
