The United States ranked at the top with a demand of 63.6 million dollars for Turkish dried apricots. The TURQUALITY Project named Turkish Tastes, carried out by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB) in order to boost the demand for Turkish food products in the USA, ramped up the export of dried apricots in the US market.
Mehmet Ali Işık, Chair of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, in his written statement, reported that France ranked second in dried apricot exports with a demand of 33.7 million dollars, while Germany ranked third with an export of 29.8 million dollars. These countries were followed by Australia with a demand of 18.6 million dollars and Brazil with 16.5 million dollars.
Pointing out that Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association was the leader in dried apricot exports from Türkiye with an amount of 195 million dollars, Işık said, “While the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’ Association exported 131 million dollars of dried apricots, Mediterranean Exporters’ Associations followed it with 37 million dollars.”
