Chairman of the Board of Marmara Olive Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union (Marmarabirlik) Hidamet Asa stated that the harvest declaration purchases that started on September 7 will end on October 16.
Asa said, “According to the reports of the harvest determination commissions, we anticipate that 75 thousand tons of yield declaration will come.”
In a written statement, Asa noted that while the harvest declaration purchases continue, on the other hand, preparations for the 2020-2021 business year product purchase campaign and harvest period have started.
Emphasizing that high yield declarations from stakeholders make product purchase plans difficult and harvest declarations will be effective in determining product purchase prices, Asa added: “As of today, 57 thousand tons of harvest declaration came from our 17 thousand 800 stakeholders. According to the reports of the harvest determination commissions, we anticipate 75 thousand tons of yield declaration.”
