İbrahim Yumaklı: We signed a ‘Joint Action Plan’ with Syria in agriculture

(ANKARA) – Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that he signed a “Joint Action Plan” with Syrian Minister of Agriculture and Agricultural Reform Amjad Badr in the Syrian capital Damascus with the aim of ‘increasing productivity, taking strong steps in the agricultural field and further advancing relations on the basis of mutual benefit’.

Minister Yumaklı stated the following in a post on his social media account:

“We held comprehensive and productive talks with Syrian Minister of Agriculture and Agricultural Reform Amjad Badr to strengthen cooperation between our countries and develop our relations. Our common goal is to increase productivity, take strong steps in the agricultural field, and further advance our relations on the basis of mutual benefit. With the opportunities offered by agricultural diplomacy, we will carry our friendship and cooperation into the future. With our Türkiye Century vision, we are taking the lead in regional development in agriculture. The Joint Action Plan we signed with Mr Amjad Badr, Syrian Minister of Agriculture and Agricultural Reform, is a historic step towards agricultural cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries. This signature is not merely a protocol, but a concrete step towards regional peace, development and prosperous tomorrows. May it be auspicious.”
