In the 9-month period (September 1, 2022-May 31, 2023) of the 2022/2023 hazelnut export season, which started on September 1, 2022, hazelnut exports from Türkiye reached 243 thousand 460 tonnes, resulting in foreign exchange inflow of 1 Billion 462 Million 345 thousand dollars.
Mehmet Cirav, Chairman of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB) Hazelnut and Hazelnut Products Sector Committee, made evaluations on the subject.
Indicating that exports were made to 118 countries from Türkiye in the 9-month period, Cirav said, The top 3 exporting countries are Germany, Italy and France, which are our traditional export markets.”
Mehmet Cirav, Chairman of DKİB Hazelnut and Hazelnut Products Sector Committee, also gave information about hazelnut exports on an annual basis and added that the hazelnut export made in the first 5 months of 2023 was 113 thousand 129 tonnes and in return, a foreign exchange inflow of 722 million 638 thousand dollars was provided…
