Fresh fruit and vegetable sector aims to grow in the Far East and Southeast Asia markets…

Considering the 21st century as the “Asian Century”, Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB), which aspires to strengthen its position in the Far East and Southeast Asia markets, participated in the Asia Fruit Logistica Fair held in Hong Kong and presented Turkish fresh fruit and vegetable products to Far Eastern importers. The sector set a target of 100 million dollars in exports to the Far East and Southeast Asia.

“We want to add new ones to Russia, Europe and Middle East markets”

Stating that the Turkish fresh fruit, vegetable and products sectors are strong in the Russian Federation-Europe and the Middle East triangle and have reached an annual export potential of 5.5 billion dollars, Hayrettin Uçak, Chair of the EYMSİB, underlined that they want to diversify their export markets and that they have chosen the Far East and Southeast Asian markets as target markets and that they give priority to organisations in these two regions in their overseas promotional activities.

Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association was represented by Hayrettin Uçak along with Sadık Demircan and Vural Güleç, Members of the Board of Directors of EYMSİB, while Dinçer Tatlıoğlu, Commercial Counsellor of Hong Kong, visited Turkish companies at the Turkish stand and shared his knowledge and experience.
