By the end of 2025, we managed to increase our exports to 1 billion 232 million dollars!
Hayrettin Uçak, Deputy Coordinator Chair of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations and Chair of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, stated that the year 2025 went down in history as a challenging year for their sector, one whose negative effects they felt deeply and do not wish to experience again.

“In March and April 2025, we experienced agricultural frost events, resulting in significant losses in many products, particularly cherries, apples, peaches and apricots. We suffered harvest losses of up to 90 percent in cherry production, a sector in which we take pride as the world’s largest producer. By the end of 2025, we managed to reach 1 billion 232 million dollars in exports with a small loss,” he said.
Highlighting that in 2025, they exported fresh and processed fruit and vegetable products to a total of 128 countries, with the top five countries being Germany, the USA, the UK, Russia and Italy,” he noted, “Moldova, Austria, Iraq, the Czech Republic and Canada are the countries where we have significantly ramped up our exports.”
