A CRITICAL STEP FOR ENERGY SAVING AND EFFICIENCY…

Minister Yumaklı also stated that reducing energy costs in agricultural production is of great importance in terms of both energy saving and efficiency. Indicating that within the framework of the IPARD Programme, support is provided for renewable energy investments such as photovoltaic solar energy, biomass, wind energy, geothermal energy, Yumaklı said, “The installation of environmentally friendly and economical renewable energy sources makes significant contributions to increasing agricultural production and reducing energy costs. Our producers can develop projects that can meet their own electricity needs with these supports.”

Pointing out that real and legal persons can benefit from renewable energy grants, Yumaklı noted, “The grant rate was enhanced up to 70 percent in the investments of young farmers and organic certified producers.”

“Futhermore, an additional 10 percent public contribution is provided for environment-oriented investments such as waste water and circular economy projects, Yumaklı added, “The overall grant rate of the project cannot exceed 75 percent. However, if renewable energy projects are included in the existing livestock and food processing sectors, an additional 10 points are given to these projects.”
