FIVE TIMES PRICE DIFFERENCE FROM FIELD TO MARKET!

Şemsi Bayraktar pointed out that the difference between producer and consumer prices has never been closed.

Union of Turkish Agricultural Chambers (TZOB) Chairman Şemsi Bayraktar emphasized that the price difference between producers and consumers reached 5 times in March.

Bayraktar said, “The price difference between the producer and the market in March was at most 386.43 percent in dry onions.”

Bayraktar also noted that the difference was 316.25 percent in potatoes, 306 percent in cabbage, 287.50 percent in parsley and 227.47 percent in milk.

“The highest price drop in the market in March was seen in squash with 16.42 percent, The highest price increase in the market was in green pepper with 33.67 percent,” Bayraktar added…
