Emre Uygun, Head of the Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters’ Association, announced that they entered the 2025/26 season with a target of 300 million dollars in table olive exports.
Pointing out that they have made a start to the table olive export season in line with theri target, Uygun said, “We believe that by maintaining this trajectory, we will bring 300 million dollars in foreign exchange to our country by the end of the season. I wish our exporters and producers a productive and successful season.”
Uygun also provided information about the leading export markets for table olive exports and continued: “Germany maintained its top position with a value of 6.6 million dollars. Our exports to Iraq surged by 3 percent to 4.3 million dollars. Romania ranked third with 2.7 million dollars.”
“In October, at the start of the 2025/26 season, significant increases were achieved in table olive exports from Türkiye to the USA, the UK and Russia. Table olive exports to the USA soared by 39 percent, rising from 1 million 81 thousand dollars to 1 million 501 thousand dollars. In October 2024, we exported 295 thousand dollars worth of table olives to the United Kingdom and in October 2025, our table olive exports to the United Kingdom soared by 194 percent to 868 thousand dollars. Table olive exports to the Russian Federation also soared by 47 percent, rising from 615,000 to 902,000 dollars,” he noted.
