Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters’ Association Chairman Emre Uygun announced that table olive exports surpassed 200 million dollars…
Giving information about the performance of table olive exports, Uygun said, “Although our table olive exports decreased by 22 percent on quantity basis in the 2023/24 season and reached 78 thousand tonnes, our export revenue surged by 14 percent and reached 210 million dollars.”
Highlighting that the average unit price soared by 46 percent to 2.69 dollars, Uygun added, “Revenue from black olive exports increased by 18 percent to 162 million dollars. Green olive exports increased by 2 percent in terms of amount, reaching 47 million dollars. These data show that we are taking firm steps towards our high value-added export target. As a sector in olive oil and olive exports, we aim to reach 1 billion dollars in exports.”
