EASTERN BLACK SEA REGION’S EXPORTS SURPASS 258 MILLION DOLLARS IN JANUARY-FEBRUARY…

The Eastern Black Sea Region, which is under the jurisdiction of our General Secretariat, encircling Trabzon, Rize, Artvin and Gümüşhane provinces, made an export of 258 million 628 thousand 263 dollars in January-February 2023.

In the first 2 months of 2023, the most exported sectors from the region;

Hazelnut with 129 million 763 thousand 982 dollars,

Fresh Fruit and Vegetables with 45 million 753 thousand 710 dollars,

Mining Products with 23 million 15 thousand 799 dollars,

Fisheries and Livestock Products with 18 million 591 thousand 573 dollars,

Vehicles and Sub-Industry with 5 million 996 thousand 604 dollars…

In the January-February period of 2023, exports were made to 105 different countries from the Eastern Black Sea Region and the top 5 exporting countries were Italy, Russian Federation, Germany, Poland and the People’s Republic of China, respectively.

Exports from these countries to the Russian Federation increased by 77 percent, exports to Poland increased by 50 percent and exports to Italy increased by 21 percent…
