DURSUN YILDIZ: INTERNATIONAL WATER BANK IS IN ITS FOUNDING STAGE

Water Policies Association President Dursun Yıldız said that the studies, started at the beginning of 2020, for the establishment of the International Water Bank (IWB) still continue.

Yıldız said, “MAI Resources International, the Global Leader in Water Resources Management and Bulk Water Transport, announced that it is the largest supporter of the International Water Bank, which is still in its founding stage.”

Pointing out that in the statement, this initiative is supported by MAI Resources International, which finances all its expenses, including the feasibility study, Yıldız noted, “In the statement made on the initiative’s website, the International Water Bank underlines that IWB will play an important role in the sustainable development of the water sector worldwide at all levels and will become a global leader in its field.”

“It is also explained that the IWB will be the first of its kind in the world that aims to invest in important water projects while addressing global water stress issues and promoting better practices. Officials of the International Water Bank describe the purpose of the bank as Providing Financing and Solutions to the Worldwide Water Industry,” Yıldız added.

“According to the statement, the international water bank will combine knowledge, technology and finance to invest in one of the biggest challenges of our time, water scarcity. The Bank’s Mission is to provide globally integrated solutions to people’s water needs and to support the sustainable development of water resource management and their focus is to improve people’s living conditions and livelihoods,” Yıldız concluded…
