Exports of fresh fruits, vegetables and products from the Aegean region climb to 1 billion dollars.
Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association increased its exports to 343 million dollars with 11 percent in the January-May period of 2020. Despite Covid-19, fresh fruit and vegetable exports climbed from 59 million dollars to 89 million dollars with an increase of 51 percent. As for the export of fruit and vegetable products, it rose from 250 million dollars to 254 million dollars with an increase of 2 percent.
In the export of fresh fruits and vegetables; tomatoes, mandarins and strawberries are the top three products, while the most exported countries are, Russia, Romania and Ukraine came to the fore.
In the export of fruit and vegetable products; pickles, dried tomatoes and juices were in demand, while Germany, the USA and the UK were the most countries that preferred Turkish fruit and vegetable products…
