Press release…
Emre Uygun, Chair of the Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters’ Association, stated that Türkiye is one of the world’s leading countries in olive and olive oil production and that the Aegean Region is the heart of the Turkish olive and olive oil sector. He also highlighted that the US is one of the most strategic and priority markets for the Turkish olive and olive oil sector.

Providing information on the efforts undertaken to enhance the visibility of Turkish olives and olive oil in the US market, Uygun said, “Whilst promoting Turkish food products through events held in key trade and gastronomy hubs such as New York, Chicago, Anaheim and Las Vegas, we also launched a successful Trade Mission programme in 2025 specifically focused on the olive and olive oil sector. This year, we aim to establish stronger, more sustainable and long-term partnerships with our US business partners through a new delegation initiative.”

“Our greatest aspiration is for Turkish olive oil, which is renowned for its health benefits, to occupy a greater presence on US supermarket shelves and achieve a permanent place on American dining tables. We are combining our millennia-old olive culture with modern production facilities and international quality standards,” Uygun noted.
“It was of great value to us that Chef Greg, who had previously visited our country, shared his impressions of Türkiye with such enthusiasm and appreciation. I would particularly like to emphasise that we look forward to welcoming our American friends to Türkiye in the coming period and showing them our olive groves and modern facilities first-hand,” he added, extending an invitation to American chefs and buyers to visit Türkiye…
