Muhammet Öztürk: We have set our export target for 2026 at 1.4 billion dollars

Muhammet Öztürk, Chair of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association, stated that 2025 was a year of strong recovery and renewed growth for both their Association and the sector.

“With a 4 percent increase in exports across Türkiye, the sector has become the most important contributor to agriculture and food exports, reaching 12 billion 366 million dollars. It is noteworthy that 34 percent of exports in the agricultural sector came from the Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products sector,” he said.

Pointing out that their Association, in particular, is facing a much more positive picture, he noted, “As the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association, we have achieved an export figure of 1 billion 185 million dollars in 2025, a spike of 23 percent. The countries to which we export the most are predominantly Middle Eastern and African countries.”

“As the Association, we continue to expand our goals. In this context, we have set our export target for 2026 at 1.4 billion dollars,” he added…
