The Adana Karataş Agriculture-Based Specialized Aquaculture Organized Industrial Zone, Türkiye’s and Europe’s first Agriculture-Based Specialized Aquaculture (Fisheries) Organized Industrial Zone, has gained legal entity status with the approval of its Establishment Protocol by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. It was announced that pre-application applications for entrepreneurs wishing to invest in the zone will be accepted between August 18 and September 19, 2025.

The Adana Karataş Agriculture-Based Specialized Aquaculture Organized Industrial Zone, established under the auspices of the Governor’s Office in partnership with public institutions and organizations, covers an area of approximately 6,500 decares and is currently undergoing preparations for the subdivision plan and infrastructure projects. Pre-application applications for entrepreneurs wishing to invest in the zone will be accepted between August 18 and September 19, 2025. The project will include the cultivation of marine and freshwater fish and shrimp, along with the establishment of modern hatcheries, open and closed pond systems, technologically advanced greenhouses and a Closed Circuit Aquaculture System (RAS). A 20 MW solar power plant will also be built in the region.
The entire infrastructure, including administrative and social facilities, a logistics center, a lorry park, a wastewater treatment plant, training areas and industrial facilities, will be delivered to investors directly at the facility’s doorstep.
