11 of the 12 export champions in the dried fruit sector are from the Aegean region…
The dried fruit sector, one of Türkiye’s traditional export sectors, is represented by 12 companies in the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM) Top 1000 Exporters List, which is the champions league of exporters. Of the 12 companies in the list, 11 are members of the Aegean Dried Fruit and Products Exporters’ Association.

Mehmet Ali Işık, Chair of the Aegean Dried Fruit and Products Exporters’ Association, announced that Türkiye’s dried fruit exports surged by 15.5 percent in 2024, from 1 billion 607 million dollars to 1 billion 856 million dollars.
“Aegean exporters accounted for 1.1 billion dollars of this export volume and I would like to express great satisfaction that 11 of the 12 dried fruit exporters listed in the TİM Top 1000 List are based in the Aegean Region,” he said.
Highlighting that Türkiye is a world leader in the production and export of seedless dried grapes, dried apricots and dried figs, Işık added, “With our centuries-old export experience, we are working to ramp up the country’s dried fruit exports to 2 billion dollars through fairs, trade delegations, URGE Project and TURQUALITY Projects, as well as our collaboration with ministries, universities, producers, exchanges and institutes, we are working to boost Türkiye’s dried fruit exports to over 2 billion dollars and strengthen our position in the TİM Top 1000 List.”
