The Sustainable Production and Consumption Association (SÜT-D) awarded organizations for their social and technical success in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and lowering their carbon footprint, which contributed to the country’s resistance to the climate crisis.
The Sustainable Production and Consumption Association (SÜT-D), with the main support of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and Istanbul Technical University (ITU), held the 7th Istanbul Carbon E-Summit on September 28, 2021.
Stakeholders gathered online under the title of Green Recovery for a Climate Resilient Turkey, The Role of Waste and Energy Management and watched the present and future of carbon management in the speeches of business world senior representatives.

ITU Faculty Member and SÜT-D Chairwoman Professor Dr. Filiz Karaosmanoğlu said, “We would like to thank the 30 organization to which we presented awards this year, for the future, blue and green of our beautiful country.”

Explaining that by reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the industry, it is possible to grow resistant to the climate crisis and increase our export power, Dr. Filiz Karaosmanoğlu emphasized the need to support investments and good practices for green transformation.
Dr. Karaosmanoğlu added, “As SÜT-D, we offer the Low Carbon Hero Award to encourage and reward organizations that contribute to the development of sustainable life by making an impact on the increase of our country’s carbon management capacity with its social and technical practices for low carbon footprint of production, production and products.”
