The Turkish dried fruit sector exported 160 million dollars in January 2024 with an increase of 26 per cent. The sector has taken a big step towards reaching the export target of 1.8 billion dollars set for the end of 2024.

Signing 60 percent of Türkiye’s dried fruit exports, Mehmet Ali Işık, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, said, “Türkiye’s dried fruit exports soared by 2 percent on quantity basis in January and soared by 26 percent on value basis. In the Aegean, we put forward a more successful graphic. We performed above the general performance of the country.”

“While our Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association realised 92.5 million dollars last month by rising 38 percent, we became the record holder of export hike within Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB). We export an average of 500 thousand tonnes of dried fruits annually. We are the dry fruit warehouse of the world. As the dried fruit sector, we aim to reach 1.8 billion dollars in Türkiye in 2024 and 1.1 billion dollars in the Aegean Region,” he added…
