The opening of the biorefinery facility, which was established within the scope of the Integrated Biorefinery Concept for Bioeconomy Driven Development (INDEPENDENT), was held on Friday, January 7, 2022.
Developed in cooperation with Boğaziçi University and Boğaziçi Technopark, Boğaziçi Teknopark A.Ş. It is aimed to develop food supplement products, pharmaceutical products, animal feed, organic fertilizers and biofuels from micro and macro algae to be grown in algae production reactors to be established on land and sea, with the project carried out under the leadership of Istanbul Microalgae Biotechnology R&D Unit (IMBIYOTAB) with the support of TUBITAK.
