Bedri Girit, Head of the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association, announced that they expect Türkiye’s disinflation policies to bear fruit in 2026 and the gap between inflation figures and exchange rates to close.

“If we can break Türkiye’s image as an expensive country globally and if there are no funding or export bans on products in our field of activity, we can reach a monthly export performance of 200 million dollars in 2026,” he said.
