‘DIGITAL’ IRRIGATION TO AGRICULTURE…

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is implementing new projects for the effective and efficient use of water in agricultural production. One of these, the Digital Irrigation Management System Development Project has been on the agenda as of this year.

A digital irrigation system will be set up to evaluate the data obtained by remote sensing techniques within the framework of irrigation, drought and yield estimation based on plant water consumption.

Measuring drought sensitivity…

One of the projects will be implemented in Ankara within the scope of determination and monitoring of agricultural drought.

Agricultural drought sensitivity will be monitored in wheat cultivation areas. Potential agricultural drought will be monitored and its effects will be determined on lot (parcel) scale in the region.

On the other hand within the scope of Biological Fertilizer Development Project, fertilizer material will be developed from microorganisms isolated from areas with salinity problems in Turkey.
