‘AEGEAN AGROLAB’; THE FAVOURITE LABORATORY OF THE REGION’S AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECTOR

İZMİR (Ege Agency) – Ege (Aegean) University (EU) Faculty of Agriculture, Agricultural Analysis Laboratory (AGROLAB) continues to provide analysis services in the field of agriculture-food for producers from consumers, private sector and public institutions and organizations.

AGROLAB, which has made the accreditation infrastructure ready by obtaining the TÜRKAK approved ISO 9001: 2015 “Quality Management System” certificate; it continues its services for the agriculture and food sector with soil, plant, water and molecular level analyzes.

Ege University Faculty of Agriculture Dean Professor Dr. Banu Yücel said, “Our Faculty of Agriculture, one of the first faculties established in the field of agriculture in our country, continues to strengthen the laboratory infrastructure and increase the quality of the services provided, while carrying out studies for the accreditation of its programs. We received the accreditation of six departments of our faculty. We continue the quality processes of our other departments. I can say that we are very close to our goal of being the first Faculty of Agriculture in our country, which is accredited with all its programs.”

“We constantly update the quality standards of all our units so that our students and researchers can carry out their studies in a more equipped laboratory. The Agricultural Analysis Laboratory of our faculty also provides analysis services in the field of agriculture-food. We will continue to share the academic infrastructure and deep-rooted knowledge of our faculty with both public institutions and the private sector,” she added.

Giving information about the services of the laboratory, AGROLAB Unit Supervisor Lecturer Dr. Seda Erdoğan Bayram also stated that as the central laboratory of the faculty, they implement soil, plant water analyzes of agricultural products, productivity and quality analyzes of agricultural products, their competencies are in this direction and they apply biochemical analyzes for the quality of agricultural products with a specific set of devices.
