TÜBİTAK will provide ‘green transition’ support not only for R&D projects designed to save energy and water in industry, reduce waste and accelerate the commercialisation of green technologies, but also for sustainable agriculture and smart transport projects.

According to information obtained by an Anatolian Agency (AA) correspondent from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK), the “Green Transition in Industry Call 2026-2” will be carried out under the World Bank’s Türkiye Green Industry Project, coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
The call aims to accelerate the green transition in industry through technology and innovation, increase the export of products compatible with the green transition and reduce import dependency. Strengthening the country’s competitiveness in external markets, particularly the European Union and promoting R&D collaboration among private sector organisations are also among the expected outcomes.
Projects will cover topics such as climate change, the environment and biodiversity, the clean and circular economy and the supply of clean, accessible and secure energy. Green and sustainable agriculture, as well as sustainable smart transport, will also feature among the projects to be supported.
Support may be provided for the development of new prototypes, the improvement of existing prototypes, validation tests, pilot production and large-scale demonstration studies. Projects will be required to carry out scale-up activities…
