Serving as a showcase for the fresh fruit and vegetable and processed fruit and vegetable sectors—which have generated over 7 billion dollars in foreign exchange for Türkiye over the past year—the event will bring together international buyers and professionals from the fruit and vegetable sector in Izmir from 8 to 10 September 2026.

As the only international trade fair for the fresh fruit and vegetable sector in Türkiye, the Interfresh Eurasia Fair will bring together international buying delegations, exporters, producers and industry professionals from over 100 countries – including Europe, Russia, the UK and the Balkans – in Izmir.

“We played an active role at international trade fairs”

Murat Özer, General Coordinator of Ant Expo, announced that attracting international buying delegations to the fair is of great importance for sectoral trade. InterFresh will serve as the Turkish fresh fruit and vegetable sector’s showcase to the world.

Pointing out that their international buying delegation programme is expanding, Özer said, “As part of the international business development activities carried out within the scope of the Interfresh Eurasia Fair, meetings were held with numerous sector representatives in Europe, the UK, Russia and the Balkan countries. As a result of these efforts, the aim is for international buying delegations comprising purchasing managers from the retail sector, importers, exporters and industry professionals from over 100 countries to visit the Interfresh Eurasia Fair.”

“Whilst meetings are ongoing with the purchasing departments of retail chains operating in European and Central European markets, as well as with import firms and supplier networks, contacts are also continuing in the Balkan countries, the UK and the Russian market to establish new business partnerships,” Özer noted.

“In addition, efforts in the Indian, Middle Eastern and Asian markets are being carried out through regional business partners and agents. We expect that VIP buyer delegations from these regions will be finalised in the coming months,” Özer added…
