As the use of technology in the agricultural sector surges day by day, the internet usage rate among those working in the sector has reached 86 percent this year.

According to information compiled by an Anatolian Agency (AA) reporter from Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data, the internet usage rate among individuals aged 16-74 in Türkiye was determined to be 92.3 percent this year.
When internet usage by occupational group is examined, it is seen that internet usage among those working in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors has shown a significant increase in recent years.
The widespread use of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation systems in agriculture contributes to increased efficiency and quality in production and consequently, internet usage in the sector is also increasing.
Accordingly, the internet usage rate of “qualified agricultural, forestry, and fisheries workers,” which was 38.6 percent in 2017, rose to 71 percent in 2022 and to 86 percent this year.
As a result, the internet usage rate among farmers and producers has more than doubled in 10 years…
