Turkish food products received significant attention at the Summer Fancy Food Show 2026, held in New York from June 28-30, 2026, as part of the Turkish National Participation Organization coordinated by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations and approved by the Ministry of Trade.
At the 70th edition of the Summer Fancy Food Show, considered one of the most prestigious international food fairs in the USA, Türkiye was strongly represented with a national participation organization featuring 49 companies, including 13 companies from the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association’s (IHBIR) International Competition Development Project (UR-GE) Cluster, for a total of 62 participants.
The Turkish pavilion, covering a total area of 836 square metres across two floors in the Javits Center, hosted visitors, while the 74-square-metre live kitchen and tasting area created as part of the Turkish Tastes Project was one of the most popular sections of the fair.

Ufuk Atakan Demir, Chair of the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters Association, stated that the US is one of the world’s largest markets, importing 240 billion dollars worth of food annually and said, “As the Turkish food sector, we aim to further enhance our share of this huge market. Türkiye’s seafood and animal products exports to the US in the January-June period amounted to 79 million dollars; 56 million dollars of this amount, representing 70 percent, was achieved by our Association, representing a 5 percent increase.”
“Our goal is to raise Türkiye’s overall food exports to the US to 5 billion dollars. Since the start of our Turkish Tastes Project, which we have been carrying out with our six Food Associations operating under the umbrella of the Aegean Exporters Associations since 2019, our exports to the US in the product groups covered by the project have increased every year. In the last five years, we have increased our total food exports to the US by 121 percent, from 781 million to 1.727 billion dollars. This success is due to our correct promotional strategies and sustainable marketing activities,” he noted…
