Exporters of fresh fruit and vegetables and processed fruit and vegetable products are set to forge new trade links in Japan and South Korea.

As part of Türkiye’s strategy to target high-value-added markets for the export of fresh fruit, vegetables and fruit and vegetable products, the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association will organise a “Sectoral Trade Mission” covering Japan and South Korea from 20 to 29 November 2026.
Coordinated by the Ministry of Trade and organised by the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, the programme will see Turkish exporters hold bilateral business meetings in Seoul and Tokyo with importers, national retail chains, distributors and leading purchasing organisations in the food sector.

Cengiz Balık, Chair of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, noted that competition in global food trade is now shaped not only by price but also by quality, reliability and sustainability, adding that Japan and South Korea are among the strongest examples of this transformation….
