The Turkish fisheries and animal products sector, which meets the world’s protein needs through three meals a day and reached an export volume of 4 billion 46 million dollars in 2025, was represented by 23 firms on the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM) Top 1,000 Exporters List.
Ufuk Atakan Demir, Chair of the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association, noted that the Turkish seafood and animal products sector also secured a strong position on the ISO 500 List, announced by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, with 25 firms and stated that the sector had further cemented its export strength by featuring on the TİM Top 1000 Exporters List with 23 firms, thereby cementing its export strength.
Sharing that 54 percent of the 4 billion 46 million dollars in exports achieved by the seafood and animal products sector in 2025 was accounted for by the 23 firms on the TİM Top 1000 Exporters List, Ufuk Atakan Demir said, “Our firms on the list of export champions reached an export volume of 2.2 billion dollars. We export to over 100 countries that place great importance on food safety, ranging from seafood to poultry and from eggs to dairy products. Although we have been at a disadvantage in recent years due to the current state of exchange rates, we have managed to ramp up our exports.”
“In the first five months of 2026, we ramped up our exports by 6 percent to 1 billion 572 million dollars. We will strive to reach 4.5 billion dollars in exports by the end of 2026,” he added…
