Aegean cereals, pulses and oilseeds exporters in the list of export champions with 4 companies
The cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector, which alone accounts for 47 percent of Türkiye’s food exports and will bring 12.4 billion in foreign currency to the country in 2023, is strongly represented in the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM) Top 1000 Exporters List with 84 companies.
While a total of 158 food companies were included in the TIM Top 1000 Exporters List, the cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector, which has 84 companies in this list, reached 53 percent representation among food companies.
Öztürk; “We are by far the leader among food sectors”
Muhammet Öztürk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, stated that the cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector is by far the leading sector in food exports in Türkiye with its wide product range and added that the sector also dominates the list of export champions.
“The Turkish food sector took its place in the TIM Top 1000 Exporters List with 158 companies,” Öztürk said, “Our cereals, pulses and oilseeds sector is among the export champions with 84 companies. Fifty-three per cent of the food companies in the TIM Top 1000 list are from our cereals, pulses and oilseeds sector. In 2024, we have united all our sector power with the brand of Turkish Food Exporters (TGİ) in order to boost our exports even more to 14 billion dollars and to take place in the TIM top 1000 exporters list with 100 companies.”
“We participate in fairs with large stands and promote Turkish food products. In order to reach our export targets, we increase our competences by clustering with TURQUALITY and Development of International Competitiveness Projects,” Öztürk added…
