Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB) Deputy Chairman Ahmet Hamdi Gürdoğan, in his written statement, said that they will provide all kinds of support as the Association for the further development of Rainbow Trout-Black Sea Salmon farming in the Eastern Black Sea Region.
Gürdoğan also stated that their aim is primarily to establish a joint processing facility to ensure that the products are manufactured and exported as advanced value-added products. He underlined that they have set a target to bring a ‘Fisheries Organized Industrial Zone’ to Trabzon province in the ongoing process.
“At the end of the UR-GE (Product Development) project, which will last for 3 years, besides the activities to be carried out and the trainings to be given, the on-site inspections and fair visits will also increase the export capacities of sectoral companies, which will reach significant competence and that the export of fishery products will reach much higher levels,” Gürdoğan added.
“Together with the companies involved in the Fisheries UR-GE project, we aim to make the Black Sea Salmon an international brand. We will increase the export of Black Sea Salmon and other fisheries products in the region to much higher figures with the budget to be created from the project and other resources and we will participate in fairs for the promotion of Black Sea Salmon in international markets. Our Association also has a plan for Black Sea Salmon to take place more on the world’s tables through other activities,” Gürdoğan concluded…
