“WE AIM TO EXPORT 1 BILLION DOLLARS IN CEREALS, PULSES AND OILSEEDS IN 2023”

Agricultural associations within Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) continue to announce their export targets…

Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association was the one that increased its exports the most among the 7 agricultural associations within the EİB in 2021.

Emphasizing that the pandemic surged the demand for food and this reflected positively on the export figures, Mustafa Terci, Chair of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, said that they boosted their exports from 505 million dollars in 2020 to 683 million dollars in 2021 with an increase of 35 percent and that the rising trend will continue in 2022.

Terci also stated that as the grains, pulses and oilseeds sector, they will maintain the rate of increase in exports in 2022 and 2023.

Explaining that they aim to export 1 billion dollars, Terci added, “In 2021, the vegetable oil sector was the locomotive with 385 million dollars of exports, animal foods are 74 million dollars and cocoa products contributed 46 million dollars.”
