The cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector, which exported 680 million dollars to the USA in 2023 and the Turkish fisheries and animal products sector, which ramped up its exports to the USA to 123 million dollars, prepared the ground for new commercial connections at the New York Summer Fancy Food Show.
Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association and Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association, which want to expand their share in the USA, the world’s largest importer of food products, participated in the Summer Fancy Food Show Fair held in New York on 23-25 June 2024 and presented Turkish food products to the taste of Americans.
Under the national participation of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB), 37 stands were opened, including 35 exporter companies and two exporter associations.
More than 2000 thousand companies from more than 60 different countries opened stands and 30 thousand people visited the Summer Fancy Food Fair, which has been held for the 68th time since 1955.
On the first day of the fair, Turkish baklava and Turkish delight were served to the visitors accompanied by the Turkish coffee tasting event held at the stands with @Turkish Coffee Lady. Turkish products were introduced on the exhibition shelf at the stand. Catalogues of TGİ Magazine and Aegean Exporters’ Associations were exhibited at the stands. Recipes prepared with the products of the sectors in the national participation trend area were served to the visitors.
A delegation consisting of Muhammet Öztürk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, Bedri Girit, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aegean Aquaculture and Animal Products Exporters’ Association, Mehmet Ali Işık, Chairman of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, Melih İşliel, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association and Nedim Kalpaklıoğlu, Member of the Board of Directors, attended the New York Summer Fancy Food Show.
