Pointing out that the farmer will continue to produce and efforts should be made to increase exports by decreasing imports, the Chairpersons of Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) called for agriculture to be supported with comprehensive policies.
Making evaluations about the World Farmers’ Day, the Chairpersons of the Board of Aegean Exporters’ Associations drew attention to the need to find and implement formulas in which farmers will continue production and they added, “If this happens our agricultural product imports will decrease and our agricultural exports will increase.”
EİB’s Coordinator Chair Jak Eskinazi, who called for supporting agriculture with comprehensive policies and increasing the efficiency of the value chain, pointed out that the country should work in areas such as direct delivery to the consumer and food e-commerce.
