Those who photographed the best form of fish received an award…
An online award ceremony was held for those who immortalized the best form of fish with their photos.
They photographed the best form of fish and won the awards. Aegean Seafood and Animal Products Exporters’ Association organized a ‘Photography Contest’ in cooperation with Turkey Photo Federation in this year for the first time. The Award Ceremony was held online due to pandemic.
Indicating that they have earned 1 billion 38 million dollars in 2019 to Turkey, Turkey Seafood and Animal Products Exporters’ Associations Industry Board Chairman Sinan Kızıltan said, “We aim to increase both exports in seafood sector and fish consumption across Turkey to 15 kilograms from 8 kilograms annually.”
Expressing that they arranged a Photography Contest in order to increase the popularity of trout, sea bass and sea bream which are the stars of seafood exports, Kızıltan added, “Three sides of Turkey are surrounded by sea, but we are doing seafood production in one thousand of our seas. We are late in seafood production. We are working to close this gap. We do R&D studies to produce new species. We produced Turkish salmon, because of the structure of the Black Sea water, we have become better quality salmon than Norwegian salmon. Today, we have reached the position of exporting to over 80 countries. We will take our fish to the artistic environment with the Photography Contest.”
